Founded with a single facility in 1977, LAMPIRE Biological Laboratories has grown into a network of multiple farm campuses and state-of-the-art laboratory processing centers throughout Pennsylvania. Employing over 200 professionals across more than 600 acres and housing over 7,000 donor animals, LAMPIRE is strategically positioned to meet the evolving needs of our clients for decades to come. The following highlights provide an overview of the capabilities and expertise available across LAMPIRE’s facilities.

Coopersburg Laboratory

Acquired in 1986 and continuously updated, this 5,000-square-foot laboratory specializes in the collection and processing of specialty organs and tissues, abattoir-derived blood and materials, and human blood products. Despite its compact footprint, strategic renovations and workflow enhancements have optimized operations to meet the diverse and evolving needs of our clients.

Everett Bioprocessing Center

Constructed in 2007, the Everett Bioprocessing Laboratory spans 18,000 square feet of advanced laboratory space near the Everett Farm Campus. This facility manages immunochemistry services, tissue processing, blood product processing, and purification. Recent equipment upgrades and space enhancements have created specialized contract manufacturing areas, attracting top-tier scientific and technical talent to LAMPIRE.

Everett Farm Campus

Covering over 600 acres, the Everett Farm Campus houses a diverse array of closed donor herds for custom antisera, donor sera, and red cell production programs. The campus features more than 30 unique animal vivariums with controlled environments for small laboratory animals, large domestic species, and rare breeds. Fully AAALAC-accredited, the facility also includes a specialized small animal vivarium, ensuring optimal care and research conditions.

Ottsville Farm

Established in 1982, Ottsville Farm was LAMPIRE’s original 40-acre small and large animal facility. It includes environmentally controlled animal vivariums and donor herd housing, supporting a wide range of biomedical applications.

Ottsville Administrative Offices

As LAMPIRE expanded, the Ottsville Administrative Offices were developed to support growing administrative functions. This space houses customer service, marketing, IT, accounting, and human resources departments. Thoughtful space reorganizations and capital improvements have optimized workflow efficiency, reduced errors, and enhanced customer service capabilities.
