Our History
What started with a wrong turn became the beginning of something extraordinary. Gregory F. Krug and his partner Craig Tarler had an idea – one that would change the biotech landscape in Pennsylvania.
1977
Lampire was founded in 1977 by Gregory F. Krug and Craig Tarler. They started bleeding sheep in open fields to collect vital raw materials for the growing biotech industry.

Two large animal production facilities established in Carversville and Ottsville, PA

Acquired Mayer & Myles Laboratories, later becoming LAMPIRE's processing lab in Coopersburg, PA
