On Wednesday, LAMPIRE will be Celebrating the Birthday of Craig Tarler.  

Craig was vital in the creation of LAMPIRE, thus declaring June 2nd Founder’s Day.  

Since 1977 LAMPIRE has been supplying biological raw materials to the Life Sciences Industry!

For 45 years Lampire has played an important role as a key supplier of critical raw materials.  We continue our mission to make your research goals our top priority and are grateful for the trust you place with us. We also recognize that we are all being impacted by inflation in ways we have not seen for decades.

The consumer price index (CPI) and the producer price index (PPI) are at their highest point in several decades, rising over 8% compared with one year ago. Lampire has been impacted by this primarily in the rising costs of consumables, energy, transportation, and labor, as we have seen increases of over 70% in some categories.   
 
Our customer service, sales, project management, operations, and technical support team members continue to uphold the corporate values of our Quality Policy.  

To provide consistently and competitively, high quality, reliable products and services in conformity with ISO 13485:2016 and our customers’ specifications; while continuing to improve the effectiveness of our quality management system.  In pursuit of this mission, we are dedicated to the following: Treating our customers in a courteous, thoughtful manner; Maintaining our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our animals, according to AAALAC guidelines; Fostering innovation and creativity in research; Producing high quality products at fair prices;  Striving to GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME…EVERY TIME!

To continue as a reliable and resourceful supplier partner, we find it necessary to pass on a portion of the cost increases we are experiencing.

As a result, standard catalog pricing will be increased an average of 10% on all orders received after July 11, 2022.   We will continue to work diligently to minimize any further increases.

With one of the most unique immune systems, many researchers are hoping Llamas will be key to finding cures to our most common threatening diseases.  Llamas have unique heavy chain only antibodies that bind to epitopes and are inaccessible to traditional antibodies.  They have a longer shelf-life, higher tolerance to extreme conditions, and a higher pH.  Recombinant “nanobodies”, or antigen-binding single domain proteins are easily engineered from llama antibody genes.

LAMPIRE Biological Laboratories recently accepted an invitation to attend the annual Advocacy Day organized by Life Sciences PA in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

As a leader in the life sciences in PA, Lee Kandt, VP of Business Development, represented LAMPIRE. The information sessions were designed to introduce LAMPIRE to the legislators in attendance and discuss the global impact life science companies, like LAMPIRE, have in developing medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics, new platform technologies, drug discovery, testing and research around the world. Challenges and opportunities were also discussed.

Rabbits are used for polyclonal and/or recombinant monoclonal antibody production. Rabbits have a high success rate across a broad range of immunogens, including haptens and human antigens, due to their phylogenetic distance from most animal research models. LAMPIRE has extensive experience with rabbits as an animal model, therefore our standard production protocols are well developed and documented to produce high affinity antibodies.
